IT Project Manager

About the role:

An experienced IT Project Manager is required to support bank-wide vendor migration initiatives under the large Securities Enhancement Programme. The overall purpose of this Programme is to enhance securities functionality within the bank and create an aligned vendor solution model. They are currently looking for a consultant to join the 9-12 months long contract with the possibility of extension. You will become a part of a very diverse and vibrant Change Management Team delivering strategic transformation Programmes bank-wide. 

Responsibilities:

The contractor will be part of the international Change Management Team and can be fully remote or Vilnius office-based. Key roles and responsibilities include:

• Responsible for overall project management, following our internal Operational Excellence standards
• Leads project teams to meet all agreed deliverables, overseeing workstreams and acting as the central point of contact for all internal team members.
• Set up and manage project plans, with detailed timelines
• Direct and motivate the project support team, and guide the activities of the consultants and analysts on the project
• Produce relevant project documentation and ensure consistency of communication to the team
• Manage and communicate risks, putting in place appropriate contingency actions
• Take responsibility for overall progress and use of resources and initiate corrective action where required
• Be responsible for managing the project scope and client expectations
• Liaise with all members of the project team to assure the overall direction and integrity of the project
• Agree and implement the quality strategy with the rest of the project team
• Communicate any potential for future work to the lead consultant
• Prepare and communicate lessons learned documentation, following project debrief
• Prepare the project closure documentation
• Prepare any follow-on actions required and communicate to others where relevant
• Be responsible for overall project profitability.

Requirements:

• 5- 7 years’ work experience in project management within Global Organisation, preferably financial sector is required.
• Project Management methodologies (PRINCE2, PMI, Agile)
• Strong documentation management standards and version control
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills; particularly Excel, and PowerPoint
• Highly analytical and logical with attention to detail and high quality standards
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professional, credible and confident style
• Strong organisational and research skills
• Strong team player with an adaptable and flexible approach, able to work effectively in virtual teams
• Fluent in English
